The first time here I honestly think it’s delicious food. I prefer this restaurant to visit.

A visit to Heising is always something special, the food was just great last Saturday too, Ms. Heising as a guest as always sovereign. The ambience is definitely getting old, but still very, very nice. By the way: The prices for so much good seem to have remained unchanged for years, and on this point too, the Heising is solid as a rock. And by the way: anyone who complains that a bottle of wine in the supermarket is cheaper than in a restaurant is probably from another planet.

Good old West Berlin, conservative and good cuisine

Friendly, good quantities and no fuss. Furnishing and service in (with all due respect) the "baroque" style, with a lot of praise for madame. Price quality is very good, especially if you include the place. A detail perhaps, but what reminded me of the good old times was the handwritten invoice. Do make a reservation because the number of covers is limited.

Outstanding. The kitchen is very good, the ambience is unique. You have to experience it. Respect for the life's work of these innovative restaurateurs.

The food was mediocre and the dessert underground mediocre. Only the meat was good. Tender and tasty. I don't need it anymore.

After a period of abstinence, we were very happy to be able to go back to the Heising restaurant. A warm welcome, intimate atmosphere and excellent French food as always. We enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to coming back more often.

This 40yrs old French restaurant is probably one of the best (and hidden) places in Berlin. Serving high quality traditional French food. You can pick between 3 or 4 course meal. We enjoyed evey moment! Pay attention that the family that own the place is very strict about reservations and accurate arrival time! They have zero flexibility and 100% proffessionalism. Very recommended!

Interesting place! I'm not sure I would call it French, more like what you'd expect a German interpretation of a French restaurant would be. The staff are also interesting, and nice at the same time. I would love to have given it a 5 star but unfortunately they don't accept cards, even with the high prices- it's unfortunate as I imagine they lose a lot on tips by making their patrons leave to go to a cash point.

Completely blown away by the evening at Heising, and this has rarely ever happened during my 10 years of living in Berlin thus far. I suppose any long time resident of the city would conclude the place as being "so West Berlin", and in a very good way. A perfect level of honesty and generosity is felt throughout the evening, reflected in the high quality of the food, the quirkiness in the service, and the welcoming atmosphere that are usually only felt in family run businesses. Such experience is so rare in this city and yet so representative of many positive qualities of (West) Berlin, I would not want to miss an experience like it.

Fancy and private dining

Dining at Heising is a unique experience. The restaurant is amazing, a trip to the past. It's like being in a family home a few decades back. The care is done by the housewife and her daughter, with the help of some staff. The crockery and cutlery are amazing and perfectly match the sumptuous decor of the house. The food is French, very well executed. You can choose between the 3-course menu (52 €) or 4 (60 €). The menu is decided together with the house at the time of booking.

Amazing French restaurant with a classic interior. I had lamb and potpourri of desserts; both were magnificent. The bread and butter were so delicious. If you are a foodie, you will love this restaurant. Reservation ahead of time highly recommended.

Great traditional French experience, the dishes have a certain standard, but as long as half the price of a Michelin restaurant, service cordial. 👍👍👍

Very nice, quiet place with great food and friendly staff

An exceptional fine dining experience. Though this family-run business was established in 1979 in quite a modern building, the interior resembles that of a 19th century. Each dish in a three- or four-course menu is easy to comprehend visually, but the combination of tastes of its ingredients is what makes it so delicious. The service is immediate, polite and friendly. The visitors are mostly quiet 50+ couples. NB. The front door is always closed so you have to ring the door bell. Cash only. Be prepared to spend at least €140 for a 3-4 course meal and a bottle of wine for two people.

A classic and old French restaurant, the classic style remains the same, with a wide variety of dishes, each dish is of a high standard.

a unique dining experience in a very secretive way. the front door is locked at all times so you need to ring the door bell to get in and escorted out after the meal. maybe they keep it that way because they ONLY ACCEPT CASH and I assume they keep a lot of it in the restaurant.

Fancy and unique restaurant. Don’t even try without reservation

By chance we came across the Restsurant Heising. A table reservation is highly recommended as there are limited capacities. The restaurant is more like a cozy living room and accordingly one feels a very pleasant home-like atmosphere. Fantastic! The tables were all very tastefully decorated and decorated. Very fine! A bouquet of roses as a floral decoration completed the design. Just great! We opted for a 4-course menu and were convinced of the cuisine of the kitchen. Just great. Everything was right and the staff was very attentive. We spent a fantastic evening. Another small comment on seating design. Often in restaurants the tables are very narrow. The closer the guests sit, the more go in. Here is a discrete distance to the next table. We had a table for two and enough space! No matter of course! The price-performance ratio is absolutely correct! The restaurant deserves its 5 stars. Stay with your concept! We can recommend it! We will come again!
